DEP is Data Execution Prevention, which is a Windows 2008 server/Vista security feature.
It is supposed to protect you from the programs accessing protected memory.
It sometimes can be caused by bugs in certain java plugins, but should not affect Domino upgrade with the default DEP settings.
If you observe the same picture as described in this posting, I would be interested in the exact messages you are getting and if you changed any of the DEP defaults.
I wanted to ask Robert the same two questions:
- The exact message (I figured that jconsole.exe was involved)
- Have you changed any default DEP settings, i.e. for Internet Explorer or any other programs.
Thanks,
Irina Khasin (Domino Install Team)
